I had such a great time with these two at their engagement session in Placerita Canyon and enjoyed getting to know them a little better. They are such a good looking couple and so freaking cute together!
Stephanie & Patrick grew up living on the same street but didn’t go to the same schools so they never ended up ever being around one another. Later on in life they ended up working together at the same restaurant. They started dating in 2010 and have continued dating since then and even long distance at times. This January Patrick got down on one knee on the beach in Malibu just before sunset and proposed to Stephanie. They are now planning their summer 2015 wedding at Camarillo Ranch and I can’t wait to get some more amazing photographs of these two on their wedding day!
For their engagement session we went to one of my favorite places to take pictures and this time of year it’s so pretty out there with all the green from the rain. It’s a little hike to get there but so worth it! I always find little pockets of light that are just perfection even with being a little hidden in the canyon. On the day of their session it was actually super cloudy but we did manage to get about a 30 second window where the sun peeked through the clouds for us. Living in Southern California where it’s sunny most of the time I was actually excited about the clouds and seeing the fog roll in. The mountains looked amazing all cushioned in fog. We took a few moody shots towards the end of their session using a couple strobes and I love how the mountains and fog appear in the background.
