It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas….

Celebrating Christ’s birth is quite miraculous and I absolutely love the Christmas season!! There’s something about the lights, music, manger scenes, busy stores, hot cocoa and cool air that makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

While we did get off to a bit of a late start on the decorating we managed to get it done this last week. We put the tree up on Wednesday night while watching little women and drinking some hot cocoa. Little Women was my pick of course. :-) My mom has probably watched little women 100 times, it’s quite the family favorite.  We’re all decked out for Christmas now and feeling pretty jolly! Here are a few pictures of our tree and the pictures we took today for our Christmas card.  Merry Christmas!!

I love this guy.

And because we like to make silly faces…

Our tree and one of my favorite glass ornaments.

Photos in the AV Press!

Abby from Nadia Cakes called me this morning to let me know that my name was in the AV Press for the pictures of their event for TLC‘s show Fabulous Cakes.  So excited to see my name in the paper for the first time!  This is the second appearance for Nadia Cakes on the Fabulous Cakes show and as usual the cake was amazing!

Rugged Senior Session with Twins!

Drew and Josh are graduating! Something I learned about these boys in the process of getting to know them before their session is that although they are twins they have different birthdays! Drew was born after midnight so his birthday the day after Josh’s. I guess this means that mom and dad can’t make them split their presents. :-)

For their senior pictures we headed out to the back side of the desert in the Antelope Valley and found a couple cool locations. Drew loves to play the guitar so we pulled it out a few times and Josh is into photography and piano.  I gave Josh my second camera to hold for some of the pictures and I’m pretty sure he would have liked to keep it. :-) Josh brought along his keyboard and lugged the heavy thing up the hill to get to the rocks where we were shooting.  Both of them were such a blast to shoot and I got my exercise in at the same time from climbing up the rocks. It was a win win photo shoot!  Congrats guys on graduating!

Rocks were worth the climb. Seniors 2010

Just a short sneak peek from a senior session from last weekend.

Climbed up in the rocks of the high desert for these boys! A little scared I was going to get a snake bite. Glad I didn’t.

Lancaster, CA Senior Pictures: Jenny

Last weekend I headed out in the desert with Jenny and her friend Shayne to shoot Jenny’s senior pictures. We kinda got lost trying to find the spot we were looking for but no worries we finally found the spot. We’re pretty sure we saw someone famous shooting their next big movie at one of the movie sets in Lake LA on our little detour so it was all worth it. One of the reasons I love Jenny is because she’s just a fun person to be around! She’s always in good spirits and ready to laugh at or crack the next joke. Congrats on being a Senior this year Jenny! God’s got a great future in store for you and I can’t wait to see it unfold.
