This little girl was having a very serious day for her one year old session but her cuteness makes up for the lack of smiles. This was my first time using a canvas back drop and I love this tri-split that I bought from Bad Sass Backdrops. Abigail’s mom kept her occupied with ice pops before she busted out the Baskin Robbins ice cream cake. Right about then things got messy fast.  Abigail’s Dad is overseas serving our county at the moment and I am super excited to very soon be capturing the homecoming of Daddy and I know Mommy and Abigail can’t wait to see him. It will be such a precious moment!

I’ve been able to photograph this little cutie throughout her first year. You can see her other sessions by clicking these links 9 Months , 6 Months , First Portraits. As a photographer it’s so cool to be able to capture these milestones of a new life and I just love seeing little ones grow. Nadia Cakes made her cake for this session and I got the frame with a chalk board insert from The Organic Bloom (I’m in love with Organic Bloom frames). Enjoy the photos!

Bianca and Joel are two very sweet people and it was a joy to be part of their wedding day in Victorville, CA. They met in college while they were attending Pensacola Christian College. One of my favorite things about their wedding day was that you could sense just how much they loved their family and friends. Although it was Bianca’s big day she didn’t hesitate to congratulate her good friends on their pregnancy during her wedding reception. Her friends had been trying for a long time to have a baby and they told Bianca at her wedding that they were expecting. Joel and Bianca are a lovely couple and I am so excited for them as they begin their journey together as a married couple. Below are some images from their wedding. Enjoy!

Bianca found out that one of her good friends was having a baby. Her friends have been trying for a while to this was big news. It was a sweet moment when Bianca announced the exciting news to her guests at the reception.

So excited for Abby and her team!!  They will actually be on the show again soon as they bake a fabulous fall themed wedding cake. If you not able to read my earlier post you can read it and see all the pictures from the big reveal by clicking here.  At the beginning of the show the drawing of the cake fades into one of the photo’s I took and later they show another picture I took of a luggage cake that the Nadia Cakes team made.  It was so exciting for me to see my pictures on TV!!   The film crew forgot to list me as a photographer and apologized to me in an email. Stinks, but hey I knew they were my photos and that’s all that counts right?  Had a fun time shooting the big reveal and am happy for Abby and her team at Nadia Cakes for being chosen to be on the show.

Of course I was super excited as I always am to shoot Abby’s awesome creations! She revealed the cake as a gift for a young lady at her 16th birthday party.

It was so much fun watching the film crew do their thing and I was even more excited when the TLC film crew asked if they could use my images for the episode! After all TLC is like my favorite channel ever! Isn’t it every girls favorite channel??

I know being on the show has meant a lot to Abby, Carlos and the team at Nadia Cakes. Congrats to you guys on creating a fabulous cake and building a great business in such a short time. You’re cakes, cupcakes and treats look and taste absolutely fabulous!

What a cutie pie and such a sweet family! Like most girls who love chocolate, Remi had no problem chowing down on her chocolate cupcake from Nadia Cakes. One of Remi’s favorite characters is Chica from the Sprout PBS channel and it was so cute to watch her hug and love on her custom made stuffed toy of Chica made by Viola Studio on Etsy.com.  Happy Birthday to Remi!

This last weekend I shot a cake they made for a Bridal Shower to showcase the couple’s travels together and it was stunning!! Every last bit of it is edible and the paintings on the top and side of the cake were all hand painted by Jessica at Nadia Cakes. I love the detail in the cake! Be sure to stop by and see their beautiful store and grab yourself a few cupcakes. They are de-lish!

Saturday Eric and I loaded up and went to the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds to set up my booth for the Antelope Valley Bridal Show. I wasn’t sure how I would like but I decided to give it a try and I’m certainly glad I did. Despite the long hours of preparation and skipping a few meals in the rush of things I had a great experience and really enjoyed meeting everyone who stopped by my booth. As a new business in the AV it was nice to meet other vendors from the area and I look forward to keeping in touch with them in the months ahead. Below are a few photos from our fun day!

Although all I had to eat that day was half of my peanut butter mood from Jamba Juice I sure am enjoying the leftover Ghirardelli Cholates :)

My husband (Eric Hayes) and hard working graphic designer made my business cards and accordion fold brochures which I loved! Thanks hun!

The contents on the rest of this page are going to make you drool! Just across the way from us was a booth with some absolutely stunning cakes! I thought that I recognized one of the ladies at the booth and kept telling my husband “I think I know that lady at the awesome cake booth.” I finally got the guts up to go over and say hi and it turns out that I went to a baby shower at her home a few years ago.
