Had a great time with Joy and Corey while shooting their engagement pictures at the park. Corey is in the Army and took a short leave to come see Joy here in Lancaster and get their engagement pictures done. The lovely 100 mph freezing winds seemed to just make their session a little bit more fun and forced us to get creative with trying to keep Joy’s hair down and Corey’s fingers from going numb. Congrats Joy and Corey, it was great getting to know you two!

Went to the park last week with Joy and Corey for their engagement session and had a great time watching them laugh at each other throughout the session. Towards the end I had them jump on the playground equipment for a few quick photos and they did this cute little position on the bridge. More photos to come soon!
Kayla and Jonathan were married on November 20, 2009 at Lancaster Baptist Church in Lancaster, CA. They met as teenagers and absolutely adore one another. Their wedding was absolutely beautiful and they both looked amazing. One of my favorite parts of shooting a wedding is the time in the ready room with the bridesmaids and the bride. Excitement is bubbling over, girls are rushing to get all spiffed up and the Bride is the center of attention. As the photographer I feel lucky to be able to stand in the background getting shots of the little moments between the girls and the stunning details during this “ready” time. It’s such a fun and exciting time just before all the action begins. What a joy it was be a part in their day and I wish them all the best in years to come.

A few months ago I shot a wedding in Lancaster, California of a young military couple. As I walked around the building and observed everyone doing their part in preparing for the wedding it was so fun to listen to the giddy girls as they moved plants around the auditorium at the last minute. The cake was in place, the flowers had arrived and now time for the dress to be put on. As mother tickled and poked to make her daughter laugh the beautiful dress was now on looking good! The couple saw one another for the first time in the auditorium before the ceremony and what a sweet moment it was. She walked down the isle eying her man in his dress blues then stepped up on the platform and told him to turn around. All he could do grin ear to ear. What a beautiful couple and a beautiful day it was for their wedding!
Got to hand it to this big brother even though I think this hug only lasted a whopping 2 seconds.

The happy couple being oh so cute!
The moment just before the kiss, one of my favs!

The beautiful bride and her flowers from Fashion Flowers in Lancaster, CA. I always enjoy working with Linda at Fashion Flowers. She does a beautiful job!
And they’re off! Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Harvey!!
