Pursuit 31 – sweet time with new friends

I had such a fun time at the my first Pursuit 31 meetup this month. For this meetup we did some book crafting using old books. A group of us walked over to The Last Book Store to buy some old books for our craft and it was so neat walking around that place. I could have spent hours in there just browsing through old books!

Back at Lukas & Suzy’s studio we made paper flowers, light switch plates and journals from our old books. We of course did a lot of chatting about business and personal stuff. That’s what we girls do best right? I so enjoyed being with ladies who love photography and desire to bring glory to God through their business and home. Having something so important to you in common with others gives an instant connection and friendship. I’m excited for these new friendships and future Pursuit 31 meetups.

If you are a photographer and would like to know more about these meetups check out the Pursuit 31 website to find a meetup near you. To find out more about the LA Meetup group head over to Lukas and Suzy’s blog.

Birthday Photos at the Park: Camden is 1yr!

Enjoyed time at the park with Camden Mordh and photographing him for his first birthday. It was so fun to photograph this cute little guy!  His mommy Danielle and Aunt Kristi did lots clapping, singing and noise making so we could get some good smiles. We had to scare some 10yr old boys out of the baby swing but as soon as they were gone we put Camden right in. I think the swing was his favorite part of the day! He loved going high like the big boys do. Well maybe not like some big boys but he was having a blast.  Happy first birthday to Camden!!

The picture on the left below is of Camden when he was just a week or so old. They grow so fast!

Here is another one of Camden’s feet at just a week or so old.

TLC’s Fabulous Cakes!!

Here is Nadia Cakes on TLC‘s show Fabulous Cakes!! So excited for Abby and her team!!  They will actually be on the show again soon as they bake a fabulous fall themed wedding cake. If you not able to read my earlier post you can read it and see all the pictures from the big reveal by clicking here.  At the beginning of the show the drawing of the cake fades into one of the photo’s I took and later they show another picture I took of a luggage cake that the Nadia Cakes team made.  It was so exciting for me to see my pictures on TV!!   The film crew forgot to list me as a photographer and apologized to me in an email. Stinks, but hey I knew they were my photos and that’s all that counts right?  Had a fun time shooting the big reveal and am happy for Abby and her team at Nadia Cakes for being chosen to be on the show.

Family Photos at the Getty

Several weeks ago my husband and I met our good friends Jacob and Sara and their family to take family photos at the The Getty in Los Angeles, California. Since Jacob and Sara are good friends of ours naturally we were excited to shoot their family. Their two boys are the cutest little rascals! Time flew by and it started to get dark but we hardly noticed because we were having such a great time with them. Here a are a few photos from the session.  Thanks Jacob and Sara for the fun time!
