Newport Coast Wedding: Desiree & Gabriel

UCIUniversityClubWedding_0051.jpg

The letter started like this “My love Desiree, I was born on July 17, 2006 the day you told me you loved me…” Just after Desiree put her wedding gown on she read a sweet letter from her groom and began to cry as she made her way through each page. I was just about to cry myself!  It’s in these moments that I am so thankful to be able to document such a love. Desiree & Gabriel started their day off getting ready in some beautiful ocean front villa’s on the newport coast which is also where they had their first look. We then headed to the UCI University Club for their ceremony and reception. I love this venue because there are so many different photo opportunities that look amazing. From the dress and all the beautiful details at the reception by Utterly Sketched and Nadia Cakes it all made for a beautiful setting.

These two actually grew up living in the same neighborhood and attending Junior High together. Gabriel remembers one of his friends liking Des at some point but obviously that didn’t work out. 🙂 Later in life after Desiree had moved away God eventually brought Desiree & Gabriel across one another’s paths again through mutual friends and they began to fall in love.

Desiree & Gabriel, I’m so happy for the two of you! Your love, kindness to those around you and desire to give each other the world was so evident on your wedding day. I was so blessed to be able to witness and document your wedding day and I wish you both many years of happiness together!  Wishing you all the best… Megan

Jessica & Jimmy: Antelope Valley Wedding

The weather was perfect and the day came together just perfectly for Jessica & Jimmy. I enjoyed documenting their special day and one of my favorite moments was capturing Jimmy’s reaction as Jessica came down the isle. It was every girls dream! The ceremony was held at Blessed Junipero Serra Parish and then everyone headed to the John P Eliopulos Hellenic Center for the reception. Congrats Jessica & Jimmy!  Click here to see their engagement session.

1 Year Old Portraits: Ryleigh

I’ve been able to photograph this little cutie throughout her first year. You can see her other sessions by clicking these links 9 Months , 6 Months , First Portraits. As a photographer it’s so cool to be able to capture these milestones of a new life and I just love seeing little ones grow. Nadia Cakes made her cake for this session and I got the frame with a chalk board insert from The Organic Bloom (I’m in love with Organic Bloom frames). Enjoy the photos!

A Valentine’s Day Inspiration Shoot!

Last year I started a new tradition, a fun and creative Valentine’s Day inspiration shoot. It’s my one shoot a year where I get to be as creative as I want with the location and little details. I picked out all the decor and picked up the cupcakes from Nadia Cakes in Palmdale, CA. Below are several photographs from my Valentine’s Day inspiration shoot at the Ventura Beach Pier in Ventura, CA. I love the lace detail on the bride’s gown! (Thanks Luke and Sharon! You two were perfect for it!) This shoot was also featured in Sparkle & Hay wedding blog and you can see that post here.
