Family Photos at the Getty
Several weeks ago my husband and I met our good friends Jacob and Sara and their family to take family photos at the The Getty in Los Angeles, California. Since Jacob and Sara are good friends of ours naturally we were excited to shoot their family. Their two boys are the cutest little rascals! Time flew by and it started to get dark but we hardly noticed because we were having such a great time with them. Here a are a few photos from the session. Thanks Jacob and Sara for the fun time!

One big happy family!
The Bullock’s are from Georgia and their “ya’ll” and “ain’t” talk was a sweet reminder of our family back in Virginia. The bullocks were recently here in California for Doug’s college graduation and wanted to get some family photos as a gift to their mom for Mother’s Day. Markie, their oldest son and his wife Christy are starting an orphanage in Mexico. Debbie and I met in college and I was one of her bridesmaids back in 2005. Debbie and her husband Alan live in Georgia and love serving at their local church. Doug and his wife Amber recently moved to Colorado where they serve on staff at a Front Range Baptist Church.
Although this family is not so close on the map they certainly are very close in each others hearts. It was a joy to take their family photos and spend a little time with them. They are a genuine and beautiful family.

Engagement at Ventura Beach Part 1
Brittany and Tommy are engaged!! While at the Ventura Beach Marriott for a retreat we headed down to the pier to do a little back to back engagement session with two couples. Part 2 of this post will follow soon. The rocky shoreline wasn’t so easy to walk on but we made it down there and had such a fun time. Even got a little wet!! (On purpose of course.) The magic word to make them smile was to say “cotton candy” but you would’ve needed to be at the retreat to understand that. All that matters is we had a good time laughing and got some great shots. We are so happy for you guys and wish you God’s best!
