DeeJay & Jake: Valencia Engagement Session

Excited to be sharing DeeJay and Jake’s engagement session today! We trekked around to a few different spots in Valencia and Santa Clarita to use the awesome vintage MINT GREEN Chevy truck and DeeJay’s DIY Lace Tent. I may have drooled a little over the truck. I loved how they like to have fun together just in the simple things. Sometimes Jake would say something trying to be be funny or make DeeJay laugh for a picture and then she’d just give him a weird look which then make him laugh so it all worked out.

We hit the hillside at the perfect time as the sun was setting and the lace tent was so gorgeous as the sun streamed through. I had so much fun with these two and I love it when clients get excited about incorporating fun things that they love. I couldn’t be more happy for DeeJay & Jake and being able to document their love has been such a beautiful experience. You can see their engagement on the Queen May here. So excited for their wedding this August!

Vintage Styled Shoot at a Christmas Tree Farm

christmastreefarm

I had such a fun time with this shoot and this girl couldn’t get any cuter! Emilee from Tasteful Tatters provided the vintage rentals and we set up in the Cut Your Own Tree section of the Christmas Tree Farm at Nancy’s Ranch. I loved every little vintage piece we incorporated. The old radio was so cool, I want it for keeps. 🙂 Ayla’s amazing red dress was from The Pink Giraffe Bowtique and it was perfect for her session! One of my favorite things about Ayla is capturing her funny little expressions. Makes it very hard to pick my favorite images, there are so many cute ones!

Just Married: A Vintage Luggage Cake

Every time Abby from Nadia Cakes in Palmdale calls me to photograph one of her fabulous creations I am amazed as soon as I see the cake. This last weekend I shot a cake they made for a Bridal Shower to showcase the couple’s travels together and it was stunning!! Every last bit of it is edible and the paintings on the top and side of the cake were all hand painted by Jessica at Nadia Cakes. I love the detail in the cake! Be sure to stop by and see their beautiful store and grab yourself a few cupcakes. They are de-lish!
