The Castaway Burbank: Adriana & Aaron

Adriana and Aaron’s wedding day at the Castaway Restaurant in Burbank was full of laughter, smiles and pretty details. These two have been nothing but amazing to work with. It’s so fun to meet with a them, talk about their wedding day and then months later see it all come together so beautifully. I’m so excited for them and their new beginning as Mr. and Mrs. Zell.

Everyone was so very excited for these two and to see their dreams come true as they tied the knot! They both had the biggest smiles and there were many times throughout the day where their happiness was so much so that their eyes welled up with tears. It started when they exchanged gifts with one another before seeing each other at the ceremony, then during the first look with her dad and brother, continued just before and during the ceremony and then more happy tears during the speeches at the reception. It was so evident just how much these two love one another and their families.

The mountains in the background of the ceremony site were so pretty and so were all the trees surrounding them. Adriana looked stunning in her gorgeous dress and to top it off she had the most amazing bouquet of white peonies. I am a sucker for peonies, they are probably my favorite flower or at least the runner up to tulips.

As the day went on and the reception began they continued with their big smiles and had the best time with their friends and family at the reception.

Congrats Adriana & Aaron!! I wish nothing but the very best for you two in your future as Mr. and Mrs. Thank you for allowing my team to document your day and being so amazing to work with!

Stephanie & Patrick: Camarillo Ranch

Stephanie and Patrick’s wedding at the historic Camarillo Ranch was absolutely gorgeous! These two were such a dream to work with and I love getting to photograph weddings at places with so much history. Camarillo Ranch is one of those places that I could explore for hours just looking at all the old things and reading about the history. That sort of thing is fascinating to me. The grounds are so pretty with several great places to take photos. The beautiful victorian style ranch house, stables and a barn all from the 1800’s. I may have a slight obsession with old barns. I love them!

Stephanie got ready for her big day in one of the rooms of the house and just outside was the gazebo where the ceremony was held. She looked amazing! The ceremony went smoothly, lots of laughs were shared and maybe a tear or two shed. At the end of their ceremony the bridal party exited epically with a little mini dance party as each of them walked back down the isle. It was hilarious and fun to photograph!

I love that Stephanie and Patrick are so easy going and that it’s very hard to get a bad photograph of these two! They were up for walking all over for photos and just very chill the entire day. I loved watching the two of them interact and seeing them with the biggest smiles ever as Stephanie walked down the isle. They such a sweet couple and blend together so perfectly.

Thank you Stephanie and Patrick for allowing me to be a small part of your day as your wedding photographer! Loved getting to know you two and wish you God’s many blessings in your future together at Mr. & Mrs. Patrick Murphy!

The Wedding & Event Design Studio: New Meeting Space!

I have a new meeting space/studio!!! Beyond excited to share and announce the new Wedding & Event Design Studio where several wedding vendors in the Santa Clarita and Valencia have teamed up to share a new studio and client meeting space! Our cute little space is located in the beautiful victorian style Tanner Building in Old Town Newhall. Just minutes away from my favorite cafe, Eat Real Cafe. I may need an intervention to keep myself from stopping in that place every time I drive by.

In the past I’ve met with clients in my cute little living room and I loved having clients in my home but having a separate space for my business was always on the back of my mind. Tricia, whom is THE brilliant behind  Tricia Dahlgren Wedding Consulting & Event Coordinating, emailed me back in April to see if I might be interested in a shared meeting space. While I had to think about it a little because I loved having clients come to my home I decided quickly that it was such a perfect opportunity.  So excited to talk wedding details, have lots of laughs and cry happy tears while viewing photographs of beautiful memories in the new studio space.

Danielle & Jake: Lace and Mint Green Wedding

When I get to photograph the wedding of someone I’ve know for a little while it makes it that much more sweet because I know a little bit more about their family and just how much this wedding day is anticipated. I’ve know Danielle (or DeeJay to all her friends/fam) for a while and was so excited when I got her text asking me to photograph her wedding. I was photographing another wedding when I read her text and I couldn’t wait for the first little break I could steal away to reply YES, YES, YES! Ha! Since she contacted me before she got engaged I got in touch with Jake and we devised a plan for me to photograph the proposal on the Queen Mary which you can see here and their engagement session here.

Lexa & Eric: Valencia Engagement Session

Excited to share this sweet engagement session today at one of my favorite locations near Valencia, CA! Lexa & Eric met while in college and it was actually while Eric’s good friend was dating her.  They didn’t really dive into a friendship until later when Lexa was single and they ended up working on the same outreach team together. They soon realized they kinda liked each other more than just a little. They ended up dating and this last December Eric proposed and she said yes! During their session I loved that it was easy to laugh with them and just talk about life and future plans. They both have a heart to serve God with their lives and I know He is going to use them in a mighty way. So happy for you two and loved photographing your engagement session!! Congrats!
