When I get to photograph the wedding of someone I’ve know for a little while it makes it that much more sweet because I know a little bit more about their family and just how much this wedding day is anticipated. I’ve know Danielle (or DeeJay to all her friends/fam) for a while and was so excited when I got her text asking me to photograph her wedding. I was photographing another wedding when I read her text and I couldn’t wait for the first little break I could steal away to reply YES, YES, YES! Ha! Since she contacted me before she got engaged I got in touch with Jake and we devised a plan for me to photograph the proposal on the Queen Mary which you can see here and their engagement session here.
DeeJay and Jake’s wedding details were filled with lace, mint and accents of blush pink. There were several things I loved about their wedding but I think my most favorite moments were when DeeJay’s Dad saw her for the first time, when Jake forgot how to tie his tie for a brief moment and although I almost had to put a few boys in time out they get points for making me laugh with their brilliant picture ideas. 🙂
Congrats DeeJay and Jake!! You both were amazing to work with and it was an honor to be part of your wedding day. I can’t wait to photograph your beautiful babies one day. 🙂 – Megan

When DeeJay’s Dad walked in and saw her for the first time he immediately started crying. It was the sweetest thing ever! (A very very rare occurrence from what I hear.) I love this shot with DeeJay’s wedding veil!
Nerds. Gahhhh! I die over these mint and lace bridesmaid outfits. Gorgeous! I think this may be one of the sweetest Dad photos I’ve ever taken. DeeJay has a Dad that loves her to pieces. So beautiful.
How cute are these old mint green doors? Loved their ruffle wedding cake! Ruffles! It has ruffles! 🙂 DeeJay & her new mother-in-law surprised Jake with a custom Seattle Seahawks cake. Sandy did amazing making this cake! Then for the Sparkler Wedding Exit!!
Wow, everything about this wedding is absolutely gorgeous! The decorations are just beautiful and it looks like the groom and his groomsmen had a great time with their photos 😉 Beautiful images! Congrats to the newlyweds!
