It’s always a special trip when I get to photograph weddings for family and this trip was no exception. Last year Nolan & Kristian asked if I could fly out to North Carolina to photograph their wedding and I was of course over the moon to have their wedding date open on my schedule so that I could say yes. Nolan is a cousin of ours on my husbands side of the family and we only get to see them about once every 2 years or so but we always have such a good time with lots of laughs.
Kristian & Nolan got engaged in August of last year. Nolan set up an intimate dinner in the backyard of their new home and surprised her with a proposal. They even had their little puppies there to witness their sweet moment. 🙂 Then began the wedding planning!
One thing I love about going to the south is all the cute churches. Many of them are made from brick and set in the middle of the country surrounded by beautiful trees and open fields. Kristian and Nolan got married at Wesley Chapel in Monroe, NC and it was definitely one of those cute little southern churches. The beautiful red brick and white cross steeple were so charming! There was of course lots of green surrounding the church and we drove down the road a little ways to a wooded area for some of their portraits. The day of the wedding it was raining off and on all day but it seemed to give us just enough of a break in between downpours to get the photos we needed outside. It turned out to be such a pretty day and I am so very grateful that I (along with the hubs) was able to document their day and get to spend time with our family whom we miss so very much!
Congrats Kristian & Nolan!! Eric and I are so very excited for the two of you! Thank you inviting us to capture your day and we wish you all the best in your new life together as Mr. & Mrs. Nolan Weiler! Love you guys!
