When I first met Bethany & Beau it was at their engagement session at El Matador State Beach. They both were so kind and even stayed until just after the sunset to squeeze in a few more photos with the gorgeous warm light we had. Bethany and Beau had their first date in September last year while in college and knew pretty quickly that they wanted to get married. Beau surprised Bethany this last Christmas and showed up in her family’s living room on one knee! What a sweet surprise!
What I love about these two is their kindness, love for God and love for their families. Being around them is easy to do and every once in a while their goofy side shows. I am all about the goofball that resides in just about everyone. Photographing them was so much fun and it doesn’t hurt that they’re such a gorgeous couple. 🙂
Their wedding ceremony took place right along the water at the JW Marriott in Palm Desert, California. The day was absolutely gorgeous and just soon enough in the season to avoid the blistering heat and humidity. While the guests watched, Bethany arrived to the ceremony on a little trolly boat with her dad just before sunset. They said their vows surrounded by close friends and family on a small grassy area with the palm trees, water and sunset just behind them. They shared tears, smiles and laughter as they stood face to face and made the best out of the fact that their unity candle just wasn’t going to light. Oh well, they just took it back to 3rd grade and played “pretend light the candle”. 🙂 Totally worked! They ended the night with a dinner reception by the water and sparkler exit. Then off they went on their honeymoon to Kauai, Hawaii!
Thank you Bethany & Beau for allowing me to document your beautiful day! I am so excited for you two and all God has planned as you begin your lives as Mr. and Mrs. Wuorio! -Megan
