This little girl is turning 4!! She is having a princess themed birthday party so for her birthday photo shoot she dressed up in the cutest Sleeping Beauty outfit from an Etsy shop Rock the Journey. Her mom and a friend made the wooden swing seat and I pulled out my mad knot tying skills to hang the swing in one of my favorite photo spots in Santa Clarita. I also made a trip to the LA Flower Market with some friends last week and that’s were I picked up the flowers for putting on the rope swing. It turned out perfectly! Little girls love to play dress up and I have never seen Sleeping Beauty look quite so cute!
If you are interested in making your own swing A helpful post we found on how to make a wooden tree swing was on Scattered Thoughts of a Crafty Mom. The knots I made were fisherman’s knots and I got the idea from Gardenista.
I love your flower swing! It came out lovely!!! 🙂
Love! What a beautiful little princess!
She looks adorable, she reminds me of Shirley Temple!
So adorable
Wow, that location is gorgeous! (And so is your little one…)

These photos are gorgeous–I came across them while looking for good locations in Valencia (I’m from here). I love the lighting and the whimsy of the concept. The swing is inventive, but the hanging mirror is just genius! Where is this beautiful location? In all my searching for the pepper trees I’ve never been able to find them and it’s so sad!
Hi Megan! I’ll shoot you an email!
Love the location. I am in SCV as well and would love to know where this is 🙂
