Jaclyn and Justin meet unexpectedly while out with friends one night. Jaclyn didn’t even want to go out that night. Who would have thought that they would get married one day? Their wedding day took place at Hacienda Reyes Ranch in Palmdale, CA on Sept. 4, 2010 at 5pm. Their western style wedding had a mixture of purples and yellows for the colors. The guys all wore cowboy hats and boots and the girls wore cute summer dresses from David’s Bridal. As the guests arrived they had Lemonade and Sweet Tea available to keep them cool which the bride put together with wooden boxes and rusty metal signs to go with her rugged cowboy theme. Jaclyn was very much a DIY bride and she along with her friend Audrey did most the decorating. Her reception centerpieces were made up of wooden boxes with purple and yellow flowers from The Farmer’s Wife Florist. They also had candles in old fashioned canning jars with twine ribbon around them. She used canning jars with sunflowers in them to hang on the chairs that lined the isle where the ceremony took place. They made a card holder from a long wooden box and rusty piece of metal. Jaclyn’s decoration details really added to her rugged style wedding.

Had a blast at Jaclyn and Jeremy’s wedding today! Here’s a little sneak peak.
Eric and I headed to the coast on a Saturday morning to shoot Mitch and Melinda’s wedding in Ventura, California. We enjoyed the drive and were excited to start shooting such a sweet couple. We met Mitch and Melinda through Mitch’s dad who is a photographer here in Lancaster. I knew when I met them that their wedding day would be relaxed and beautiful and it was just that. We and enjoyed the day and watching these two become one was beautiful! When I gave them their wedding package today they gave me a hug!! Awesome clients and beautiful people inside and out!
Melinda and her bridesmaids got ready at the Embassy Suites Mandalay Beach Hotel and Resort which is where we took most the the portraits as well. The grounds were gorgeous! Thank you Mitch and Melinda for letting us document this amazing time in your lives!

Here’s a little sneak peak from Mitch and Melinda’s wedding today in Ventura, CA at Wedgewood Wedding and Banquet.
Such a sweet couple and so happy for what God had done in their lives!
Had a great time with Joy and Corey while shooting their engagement pictures at the park. Corey is in the Army and took a short leave to come see Joy here in Lancaster and get their engagement pictures done. The lovely 100 mph freezing winds seemed to just make their session a little bit more fun and forced us to get creative with trying to keep Joy’s hair down and Corey’s fingers from going numb. Congrats Joy and Corey, it was great getting to know you two!

Kayla and Jonathan were married on November 20, 2009 at Lancaster Baptist Church in Lancaster, CA. They met as teenagers and absolutely adore one another. Their wedding was absolutely beautiful and they both looked amazing. One of my favorite parts of shooting a wedding is the time in the ready room with the bridesmaids and the bride. Excitement is bubbling over, girls are rushing to get all spiffed up and the Bride is the center of attention. As the photographer I feel lucky to be able to stand in the background getting shots of the little moments between the girls and the stunning details during this “ready” time. It’s such a fun and exciting time just before all the action begins. What a joy it was be a part in their day and I wish them all the best in years to come.

I am sure that Jon and Lucee never imagined that they would have to go all the way to Japan to meet one another but that is exactly how it happened. Lucee met Jon while on vacation in Okinawa, Japan! Jon was stationed in Okinawa and while he was there he often volunteered at the church where Lucee’s Brother-in-law pastored. Jon and Lucee met while helping out with church camp. They officially began dating in August of 2008 and kept in close touch after Lucee went back home to California. Jon was soon sent to Camp Pendleton in San Diego, California and on May 30th he proposed to Lucee after a lovely meal at the Odyssey in Granada Hills, California.
Congrats Lucee and Jon!

Gotta love the smile on the girl to the left!
The flower girls and ring bearer are siblings. Big brother was kind enough to hold his sisters’ hands although he was a little reluctant at first.
Typical brother.

The gals and their flowers from Fashion Flowers.

This was just after they said their vows. So happy!
